OPINION ESSAY

YOUNG PEOPLE NOWADAYS

Through thousands of historic years, society and life have developed deeply step by step: from ancient society to modern society, from backward life to civilized life. And people also have great changes, especially in young people. The young nowadays have inquiring mind, intelligent, creative. However, besides that a part of the young also has negative life which is worth criticizing.

Some young people are selfish, they just depend on parent's property, own possession, and use it without thinking. They just use money and needn't to know the value of money, so they waste a lot of money lavishly. That sum of money they spend every year can help hundreds of poor people. They can get money from parents easily, so they don't try to study or work to earn money by themselves. That often happens to some young people in rich families. Moreover, some young people ignore social problems, don't pay attention to any important social events around happening. For example, they live in big cities where are rarely suffered from serious consequences of natural disasters, so they are quite indifferent to big storm, flood in central of Viet Nam. They consider that as normal things, and even refuse to help, support for victims.

Also, some young people live without dream, ideal, and tomorrow. They spend much time on pleasures or entertainment, never have intention or plans in the future. Furthermore, some people use violence too much. Because now there are a great number of violent films which affect their attitude and behavior. Therefore, in real life whenever having arguments, they also use violence to solve. This is very dangerous, as it can be harmful to health, or threaten people's life seriously. Even with all these bad things, some people say that they are young generation, they have new lifestyle in modern society to affirm themselves. However I think that lifestyle isn't completely suitable for society. A modern life needn't new lifestyle like that, it needs persons being really useful for society.

The idea " young people nowadays have negative life" is right. However, negative life doesn't happens to all of the young, it is just in a part of them. That idea is like a reminder, warn in order for the young to consider, correct themselves and have more positive life.
