MY GARDEN

1. Thesis statement: For me, I love my small garden in front of my house.
2. Body paragraph:
* Paragraph 1: I love my garden because it is very nice with different species and colors of flowers.
+ In first warm sunshine of the early morning, drops of dew are still on leaves and flowers look like glittering diamonds.
+ As the sun rise, drops of dew disappear, leaving the original colors of flowers: the purple of orchid, the pink of carnation, the red of cactus flower,the yellow, and white of some wild flowers,..,making them more and more lovely in brilliant sunlight.
+ I really like some delicate flowers such as small yellow wild flowers on the hence.
+ Sometimes, I am also attracted with the strong beauty of cactus flowers, planted on the pots in the small left corner of the garden.
+ In the middle of the garden, there is a big tall tree, blossoms all the time of year.
* Paragraph 2: I love peace and quietness of the garden.
+ A rocking-chair in the right corner of the garden.
+ I can sit there, listen to bird-songs, enjoy the cool of breeze wind, inhale the sweet fragrance of flowers, the smells of green grass.
+ Sitting in such fresh air can make me relax, have a rest, and take away worries or pressure of life.
* Paragraph 3: I also love my garden because it is resulted from taking care of all members in my family.
+ Every corner of the garden is fruits of perspiration and labor of my family, from digging, fertilizing, to watering every day,...
+ Looking at growth process of these flowers, when they just are small first buds until they are grown up, we feel really happy and proud of things we gain.
3. Conclusion:
My garden is not very big, it isn't as beautiful as gardens in parks or in some other tourist attractions, but I love it because of its own beauty. Actually, it is always a special place in my mind.

POLLUTION

Each of us desires to live in a clean environment. But in fact, everything doesn't come true as people's hopes. Nowadays, with the development of science and technology, people's lives have been improved and had many positive changes. However, people also face one unexpected issue. It is pollution. This is a really big problem because of its serious effects.

In near future, pollution has had an influence on life directly. In some public places such as: markets, parks, streets,... there are a lot of nylon, plastic bags, papers,... thrown carelessly. These careless actions turn beautiful places into rubbish grounds, and make nasty smells around. Moreover, some sewerage systems are filled up with garbage, making rain-water be blocked and unable to drain quickly when it rains. Therefore after heavy rain, flood, a common matter usually happens, especially in big cities of Viet Nam. The more factories,companies and vehicles appear, the more smoke is released. We don't have fresh air to breathe any more. Also, when some toxic wastes are released, and absorbed into land, water, it is easy to cause severe disease for people, animal, and plant.

Pollution not only causes effects in near future, but also have many other serious effects in farther future, such as: global warming, and climate change. Temperature on the Earth is increasing 0.1 degree every ten years. The Artic and Antatic ice caps will slowly smelt, so the level of the oceans will rise, causing floods in many low-lying part of the world. In addition, when the climate changes, some areas will become wetter while others will become drier. Some areas which today are green and fertile will eventually turn into deserts. Besides, some tropical diseases like malaria, fever,... will get popular in areas where they haven't known yet today.

Actually, pollution is a problem being worth concerning in all countries in the world. People cause it and are also its victim. It effects our lives a lot in present and even in future time. We must realize the importance of environment, have specific actions to protect nature and keep our Earth green.

+ since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution in mid-1700s, human activities have added more and more greenhouse gases (CO2,..) into atmosphere.
